Trans Rights Readathon for Gendered Intelligence

I am taking part in the Trans Rights Readathon from Friday, March 22 to Friday, March 29, 2024. For more information, check out @transrightsreadathon on Instagram.
From the Trans Rights Readathon page: “This year’s Trans Rights Readathon will take place from Friday, March 22 to Friday, March 29, 2024. We are calling on the reader community to read and uplift books written by and/or featuring trans, genderqueer, nonbinary, gender-nonconforming, and 2Spirit authors and characters” 

As well as reading and uplifting trans+ stories, the Readathon team are encouraging those who have the means and opportunity to fundraise for trans aid organisations in their communities. Trans rights, both in the UK and globally, have and continue to face direct attacks through legislative and policy changes. These actions directly threaten Trans safety, making the world increasingly scary for trans and gender diverse people.
From the Gendered Intelligence website:"We deliver a range of direct services, projects and activities to trans, non-binary, and gender questioning people, as well as a range of education, training and consultancy to organisations and individuals who are working to better their inclusive practices. We also engage with public policy and seek to influence legislation, the media, policy and research at a national level.”

I pledge to donate £15 per book I read for the readathon. This is my personal choice based on my current means. Every donation counts, no matter how small it may seem. You can either also pledge a certain amount per book, or make a one-off donation.
