I wouldn’t say I’ve ever enjoyed running, but I think that’s because previously I’ve rocked up to races without training, assuming my body can handle the miles. Turns out it can’t (well it can, but it hurts), especially as I’ve got older, and so this is a bucket-list goal to hit before I turn 30 in May! 🏃
Every penny donated to Sunshine & Smiles goes directly towards supporting children and young people with Down syndrome and their families; whether that’s Speech & Language sessions, transport for families, or paying our trained staff to support families or help our young adults into training and work. I started working for the organisation in 2018, and they've had my heart ever since. 💙
I've been training for this since October 2023 and there's only a few weeks left until race day!
