Providing door to door transport for individuals and groups who cannot access public transport
Community Transport provides transport for both individuals and groups who have difficulties accessing public transport, either because of impaired mobility or lack of services in rural areas and for groups involved in community activities. There are a variety of different sized wheelchair vehicles from 9 to 16 seats. Transport can be provided for health related appoints as well as outings for community groups e.g. Church Groups, Scouting and Guiding Groups
Why the community needs usWe provide a range of high quality, safe and comfortable vehicles which are used to enable local people who are disadvantaged either due to lack of mobility or rural isolation access local services such as the post office, banks independently.
Our impact on the community
Whatever time you can spare you will be providing a valuable service for people in your community. Driving - training will be provided to MiDAS standard and will be given free of charge. Fundraising - plan and organise events to help support the organisation. Passenger Assistant - help less mobile passengers on transport services - training available. Trusteeship - join the Board of Directors and use your valuable experience, skills and expertise to help guide the organisation.
